Daft Punk's Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo Dishes Out A Spacey New Joint

Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo May Be Breaking Off For A Solo Project

It was less than a year ago when we first heard news that Daft Punk's Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo would be breaking out to work on some solo material. Today we found out that's only half right, as a new track from Le Knight Club (Guy's longtime side project with fellow franco-funkateer and Hard House founder Eric Chédevillesurfaced on the internets as a contribution to the soundtrack of the forthcoming film Gates of the Sun; a French action film with a guest slot from Iron Mike Tyson. "The Fight" is probably right in line with what you'd expect from a side-project with a French House pioneer; driving buzzsaw bass, sinister synth worth and a four-to-the-floor drum program that drops almost halfway through the track. But it certainly bears the mark of Homem-Christo on its shoulder and it's pretty easy on the ears, specially if you're dodging the fuzz in a Peugeot. In any case, you can stream Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo's side sounds as Le Knight Club below. Check back with us in the months to come for more from the half-punk.
