In case you missed this morning's tweet, the prodigal player AKA D'Angelo has been confirmed to appear at the BET Awards which airs on Sunday July 1st (8/7c) and is hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. Not just appear but perform--his first televised performance in more than a decade--along side a star-studded line-up that includes Usher, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Big Sean and 2 Chainz. As Stephen G. Hill, BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials, put it:
“Usually, we love to keep surprises…but this year we want EVERYONE watching when D’Angelo takes the stage at the BET Awards! --his talents have been away from us for far too long and we’re excited and honored that he’s decided to make his American re-entry at this year’s BET Awards.”
