Watch This Beautiful, 14-Minute Version Of D'Angelo's "Untitled" Live From The Apollo Theater

D'Angelo Took The Apollo To Church On The 1st Night Of The Black Messiah Tour [Recap]

For those that were in attendance, D'Angelo's Black Messiah tour launch was a historic kind of something. Nearly 3-hours, 2 encores and thousands of sweat-soaked fans made NYC's most-coveted ticket well worth its weight in gold. And I'm sure those of you who didn't manage to cop a ticket in the literal second they were available, have been scouring the weird and wild world of the web for whatever tidbits you could salvage from that monumental evening at The Apollo Theater. Today, we're happy to shine some light on one particularly heavy moment, in the 14-minute long rendition of the Voodoo smash "Untitled" which left not a quiet voice in the audience. By the end of the song (and in turn, the evening) D had the whole house singing the chorus to his musical sermon, which by the end, left him lone on the legendary stage, proclaiming his love for the fans, appearing to finally draw the curtains closed on an evening that will, no doubt, go down in the books. If you missed anything from the show, lay your eyes on our recap of the evening and watch a beautiful, stretched-out take on "Untitled" from The Apollo below. Let's all hope that the man's second coming includes a second stop.
