Daye Jack & Killer Mike Take Aim At Police Brutality On "Hands Up"

Up-and-coming MC and vocalist Daye Jack elevated his work to a new level Wednesday with the release of "Hands Up," a politically-charged track that features rap support from none other than Killer Mike. Only 20 years old and packing plenty of promise, Jack holds his own alongside the ATL legend as he delivers a hook that's both mighty infectious and impassioned. "Living with my head down / Hands up / No no, don't shoot" he emotes before Mike drops a bit of rat-a-tat rap protest. "Maybe the kid that you refer to as a thug is just somebody else's baby," Mike opens as he keeps it correct.

Daye Jack released his Soul Glitch EP earlier this year and is currently prepping a full length record, which will be released in 2016. It's set to include productions from Nosaj Thing, Mike Elizondo, and Max Martin amongst others. Listen to "Hands Up" below.
