Dev Hynes & Connan Mockasin Are "Feelin' Lovely"
Dev Hynes has been on a roll as of late. Last week, the NYC resident strut is stuff across Chinatown to the tune of "Sandra's Smile", his latest poppy wonder with Blood Orange. And today, he drops a collaborative three-track EP with fellow five borough mainstay Connan Mockasin as the first installment of Mexican Summer and Ballroom Marfa's Marfa Myths series, which chronicles artists' time the duo's time in the studio during the their stay in The Lone Star state.
Along with the EP release, Mockasin and Hynes have also relinquished the syrupy new cut "Feelin' Lovely," which is a perfect blend of each skill set, marrying Dev's pursuit for pop perfection with Mockasin's weirdo r&b styles. The result is a track that stays true to its name and provides plenty of replay value.
