Diggs Duke returns with "Forever Love Is Tainted" - the opening track from his forthcoming Brownswood Recordings project The Upper Hand and Other Grand Illusions, due out on September 1st. The track's narrative, which follows the bumpy road of infidelity according to the pain of a man scorned, is an interesting and pretty commendable approach given that men's relationship woes are not as popular a subject in the realm of love songs as those of the fairer sex. That creative decision takes a backseat only to the production from Jelani Brooks, which is a blooming and bending mind melter made of fish grease and fleeting beauty. Diggs Duke drops the track less than a week ahead of the full release with a note on the inspiration that went into the lyricism:
