Don Lemon Terminated from CNN

Longtime CNN co-anchor Don Lemon has been terminated from the platform, which he revealed in a tweet.

Don Lemon’s time at CNN has ended. On Monday (April 24), the 57-year-old co-anchor shared his terminated status in a tweet. The news came just hours after Lemon co-hosted CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. Lemon was at the network for 17 years.

"At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play,” he wrote.

He added, “With that said, I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best."

Although CNN representatives didn’t delve into why Lemon is no longer at CNN, a Variety report from early April alleged that he harassed female associates. The report claims that the Louisiana native offended former co-workers Nancy Grace and Soledad O’Brien in public settings, including on-air and in editorial spaces.

Lemon’s alleged offenses towards former Live From co-anchor Kyra Phillips were also detailed, with Variety interviewing numerous current and former CNN colleagues, some of whom asked to be quoted anonymously.

Don Lemon has since denied the allegations, a spokesperson for him saying that the article was, “riddled with patently false anecdotes and no concrete evidence, is entirely based on unsourced, unsubstantiated,” per ET. News of Lemon’s firing also broke shortly after Tucker Carlson was ousted at Fox News.
