Electric Wire Hustle - "Bottom Line" (Anthony Valadez Remix)

Electric Wire Hustle's smokey and frantic brooder "Bottom Line" gets a stripped-down treatment from KCRW selector Anthony Valadez. The track commences with a string arrangement transplanted from the original's breakdown, supplanting the harrowing grand pianos of the original cut's opening. In the absence of that chaotic drum shuffle, Vala injects the track with more straightforward, minimal drum work, giving the hook some true shine as a hypnotic rhodes lick bring out the haunting lull of Mara TK's vox. The reworked cut has all the earmarks of a "night time is the right time" groove and should certainly be bumped in accordance.

This luscious remix follows up on the stunning visual treatment for "If There Are The Last Days" and rehashes from Eliphino and Flako, both of which can be found on their latest EP. Electric Wire Hustle's roll-out for the upcoming Love Can Prevail LP is in full swing, as their If These Are The Last Days EP is out now via our very own Okayplayer Records imprint and can be copped on iTunes this very moment. Just be sure to keep your ear to the ground, as we draw closer to the release of their sophomore full length release. Stream Anthony Valadez's silky rework of "Bottom Line" below.
