Emile Haynie - "A Kiss Goodbye" (feat. Sampha, Dev Hynes & Charlotte Gainsbourg)

Emile Haynie has been quietly making a name for himself as a producer for the heavyweights, working with A-listers like Kanye and Eminem and even more recently Lana Del Ray. So when he shows up behind the boards with some of OKP's favorites, we tend to take head to that call. Though this one certainly falls far from the Yeezus or "Rap God" columns, Haynie proves to be as dynamic as he is prolific, stringing together playful toy pianos and a dire, harrowing vocal treatment from French actress turned singer Charlotte Gainsbourg,(daughter of famed franco-pop icon Serge) before Sampha delivers a tender mid-song plea.

While we can't quite put our ear on Dev Hynes' contribution, it is my contention that he's likely joining Haynie in the booth and adding extra instrumentation and some production to this clean-cut heartbreaker. The song appears to be off of an upcoming project entitled We Fall, so be on the lookout for more sonics soon.
