Just last week we learned that the 2015 Soul Train Awards would be one for the books with D'Angelo, Jill Scott, Common, John Legend, Kanye West and many, many more, all netting themselves nominations for a monumental year in music. And while it already seemed like the most OKP-friendly year for the awards show in ages, it appears BET may have just outdone themselves, tapping the incomparable Erykah Badu for hosting duties on the evening.
That's right, not only will approximately half of the Soulquarians be making an appearance, but one of the movement's spiritual and artistic pillars will be playing ringleader. Only Common and R. Kelly have been announced as performers for the evening, but you already know that we're pulling for the 1999-2001 R&B revue that the world deserves with so many of those luminaries crowding the bill. But you'll just have to tune-in to find out.
