Common Will Perform a Free Show with The National Symphony Orchestra in DC Tomorrow Night

TIDAL X: Common & The National Symphony Orchestra, Presented by Okayplayer & Kennedy Center

Common Will Perform a Free Show with The National Symphony Orchestra in DC Tomorrow Night

On March 22nd, Common will hit a historic stage with a massive ensemble in our nation's capital. For the first time ever, the Chicago rapper will be backed by The National Symphony Orchestra to perform a career-spanning set at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. And we will be bringing you the live stream right here on Okayplayer.

For Common, it's a moment to play his own catalog as he never has before. For the city of DC, it's a celebration of the Soulquarian poet on the heels of his latest album Black America Again, praised by critics and pedestrians alike (and entirely produced by Stones Throw's Karriem Riggins.) And we're honored to partner with The Kennedy Center to bring it to the world. The performance will commence at 8 p.m. EST and will be available to live stream via TIDAL for members and non-members alike.

Stay tuned for the live stream link to hit tomorrow night or head over to The Kennedy Center to catch the performance in-the-flesh. Common's new album Black America Again is out now and can be purchased on iTunes today.

The performance by Common and the NSO is a part of a series of events that will take place between the Kennedy Center and Okayplayer March 21st and 22nd. Check out the full schedule of events below:
