Family Guy's 'Cosby Show' Update Is A Swift Dose Of Cruel Truth
I suppose there's no way to drag the Bill Cosby legacy any deeper into the mud. Since Hannibal Buress's seething, half-serious outing of the comedic legend during a stand-up set all that time ago, the public perception of Dr. Huxtable has crept farther and farther into the salacious realm. And rightfully so. If there's any truth to what Buress and some two-dozen accusers have brought against Cosby, there is no cap to how severely that legacy deserves to be tarnished, no cap to the boldness of that asterisk on his career-end stats.
And while the shit-stirring in regards to the Cosby scandal has been on the mild side as of late, another televised family has delivered perhaps the harshest blow yet to the Cosby name. The Griffins of Quahog AKA Family Guy's focal crew recently imagined what The Cosby Show's intro might look like with what he now know of its namesake actor's predatory past, pulling no punches as it depicts each of its female leads (and, of course, the NBC peacock) as sedated-beyond-function, with Cosby face-gesturing and dancing his typical step. You may not like what you see, but this is perhaps the swiftest dose of cruel truth we've yet to see or hear on the matter and it's available for you to see down below.
