Fashion Friday: Puma x BWGH, Stampd, Pharrell x Adidas Originals, Black Scale & Billionaire Boys Club
Fashion Friday returns this week with more collaborations and cool collections including Spring/ Summer 14 collections launching late for mid-season.
First up, Puma and Parisian label Brooklyn We Go Hard collaborated to deliver another capsule collection of sneakers which features the XS698 and XS850 models in different colors. With some basics included, this will be a perfect fit for the summer. The collection will be available starting in September.
As mentioned last week, the bucket hat is the must-have item for this season. LA-based lifestyle brand Stampd is known for its overall technical qualities, aesthetic and the care devoted to its finish, wearability and originality. Featuring street wear appeal and black & white designs, the collection includes Glass Printed Bucket Hats for the summer season. Definitely a good catch, they are made out of cotton with cool details like eyelets for ventilation.
Pharrell has been a part of our style breakout every week for the past few editions. This time around, adidas Originals has released a limited collection of hand-customized and painted Stan Smith shoes by the 2014 "Happy" star. With only 10 pairs available, they will be dropping exclusively at the Parisian store Colette. All of the profits from the sale of the shoes will be donated to One Hand to anOTHER.
California label Black Scale goes off the beaten path with a line of Spring/Summer 14 garments featuring a wide array of colors. Deviating from their standard dark tones and blacks, they take things in a different direction. The catch to this collection is that those colors come with a mix of grey, black and patterned graphics.
Billionaire Boys Club returns with a new lookbook highlighting their Bee and BBC Black lines. Done in collaboration with Mark McNairy, the Bee line is into summer fabrics and includes some camouflage prints. For the BBC Black line, they clearly followed one of the major trends present across the major fashion week celebrations: all white everything. The pieces are simple and of course easy to match with everything. We give a solid thumbs up to the lookbook, especially the model sporting a wealth of tattoos.
American street wear brand Play Cloths aims to provide high quality pieces adaptable to any lifestyle. Founded by Pusha T and No Malice (Clipse), the brand is constantly reinventing itself, drawing inspiration from art, high end fashion and street culture. They just unveiled a new lookbook featuring a cross selection of garments with bold graphics. From black-and-white to sportswear signs, this Summer 14 second delivery is a treat.
