Pass The Popcorn: Flying Lotus & Willis Earl Beal To Score Films For Sundance
Flying Lotus and Willis Earl Beal are amongst a handful of artists who have been tapped to score films screening at the Sundance Film Festival. Flying Lotus lends his unmistakable sound to Imperial Dreams - a film about a young writer searching for his son after being released from jail - with a score that will likely err on the side of the electronic and the awesome. Beal will score and star in Memphis as a musician and drifter searching for love. The film is the latest of Beal's cinematic forays, following a handful of animated shorts that accompanied some of the singer's releases. The Sundance Film Festival kicks off on January 16th and runs through the 24th in Park City, Utah. Purchase tickets for the festival via Sundance.org. Watch the trailer for Memphis below.
