Fran Drescher Wants Cardi B In "The Nanny" Reboot
Cardi B x The Nanny.
Fran Drescher, the actress who played the character Fran Fine in The Nanny, wants Cardi B to play her daughter in a potential revival of the classic '90s sitcom.
In a new interview, the actress told PeopleTV’s Chatter that she’s on board for a revival of the show, and that she'd want the Bronx MC to play her daughter.
“I wanna do a sitcom with Cardi B,” Drescher said. “Wouldn’t she be great as my daughter?”
“I’m totally down with doing it,” she said. “I don’t know what is going on with some of these networks out there because they do not seem to be hip to the fact that there’s an obsession amongst millennials for the show and moi!”

The collaboration idea surfaced after posted a photo to Instagram and captioned it, "Fran Drescher."
The real Drescher responded to the photo/outfit tribute in the interview, saying, “I was so flattered,” Drescher said of Cardi’s outfit. “I just thought she paid homage to me wearing animal print and said ‘Fran Drescher.'”
She continued, “And then I got my juices flowing and thought, ‘Wait a minute, she’s from New York, we both have funny voices, she could be my daughter!'” Of course, the father of Cardi's character would not be Fran Fine's on-screen love interest Maxwell Sheffield.
The reboot is reportedly not in the works, so we'll just have to wait and see.
