Frank Ocean Announced 'Boys Don't Cry', A New Album Due This SummerFrank Ocean Boys Don't Cry

Moments ago, Frank Ocean added his hat to the pile of anxiously-awaited follow-ups, making 2015 the year that just keeps on giving. The reclusive crooner took to his Tumblr page (a digital space you should frequent if you're trying to keep up with your boy) to announce with the above picture, plus a few added notes on his actual site, that his new album will be titled Boys Don't Cry and will be arriving this July, marking three full years (potentially to the day) since his major label debut Channel Orange took over our worlds. And it's a welcome return from one of the most notable voices of a generation, who has been dropping of little treats like his stripped-to-the-bone cover of The Isley Brothers' "At Your Best (You Are Love)" and that New Years Day lullaby "Memrise." Neither of those are confirmed to be part of the new project, but if they seem to indicate anything, it's that the labor's been done and we're all about to taste the fruits. The exact date has yet to be announced, but you can be sure that we'll have our eyes and ears perked for the goods. Check back soon for more info on Boys Don't Cry.
