Fred Armisen & Bill Hader Debut Talking Heads Parody Band On 'Late Night'
The second season of Fred Armisen and Bill Hader's critically-adored mockumentary series Documentary Now! begins this evening on IFC. For those unfamiliar, the show reimagines doc-styled programs like VICE and Behind The Music through their twisted (and hilarious) lens.
The first episode of season two finds them taking on Jonathan Demme's revered 1984 Talking Heads documentary/concert film, Stop Making Sense, with the SNL alums debuting their new group Test Pattern. Last night, Armisen and Hader delivered a taste of what we can expect with the band's debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers, performing the hit single "Art + Student = Poor," full of telling lines about trials and tribulations of your everyday Pratt Institute attendee.
You can watch Fred Armisen and Bill Hader's full performance down below, just be sure to to tune in tonight for the season two premiere of Documentary Now! on IFC for the full treatment, sure to be a blast. In other Jonathan Demme-related news, the legendary director is at the helm of Justin Timberlake's new Netflix concert special, Justin Timberlake & The Tennessee Kids, slated to arrive this October.
