LargeUp Premiere: Gappy Ranks x P Money Drop "The Baddest" [Video + Full EP Stream]

Gappy Ranks + P Money The bADDEST

Gappy Ranks and P Money's "Baddest" made it's debut last October and has been a LargeUp favorite ever since. The collaboration between London-based Dominican-Jamaican singjay Ranks and veteran New Zealand producer/DJ P Money is a high-energy club ready track that mixes a bass heavy beat with an electro hip-hop feel. The low end packs a punch that preserves the vibes and hits the reggae nail on the head while holding the danceability. The pair even samples “Come Baby Come,” the 1993 hip-house anthem from Puerto Rican MC and Latin freestyle king K7, adding another flavor to the mix. Though the two artists are an unlikely duo, it totally works! While P Money is holding down the DJ scene in New Zealand, Gappy is London's leading reggae ambassador - they're set to release a full-blown EP titled The Baddest which drops June 6th. As for the video, it's definitely heating things up. From girls dancing in front of cop cars in the sun, to scorching hot warehouse fire scenes. Shot in Melbourne, the video features desert shots that make it clear that the team is keeping it over 100 degrees in the unrelenting Australian sun. Check out the "Baddest" video below and don't forget to hit the link and check out the collaborative EP The Baddest which dropped on LargeUp today.
