Gary Clark Jr. Makes His Guitar Weep On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'
Gotta give it to Gary Clark Jr., the Texas bluesman lit the stage ablaze last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Performing his slow-burn ballad "Our Love," GCJ showed us precisely why he's considered one of this generation premier six-string slayers, channelling Texan greats like Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan (whose brother, Jimmie, was an early mentor) in a weeping and wonderful display. The performance comes after a heavy year of touring in support of his latest album The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim, where he wrote and performed and damn-near every part on every instrument. You can pick up your copy on iTunes today and catch him finishing out the year on the road, the date for which are listed below.
Watch Gary Clark Jr. perform "Our Love" on Jimmy Kimmel Live and hold tight for his next transmission.
