Ghostface Killah x Adrian Younge Comic Book + Album Trailer
Ghostface Killah and composer Adrian Younge are not joking around anymore. Their collaborative LP featuring William Hart of The Delfonics and Younge's super-soulful cinematic backdrops is out April 16th and the plot thickened last night with the release of some tantalizing album snippets in addition to the tracks we've already heard. Today, however we get our first real look at the story that threads the 12-track project together--a true-crime caper (surprise) featuring Tony Starks, a soldier for the 1960s-era Italian crime family "the 12 Delucas." In addition to releasing a trailer which teases the story in classic crime thriller style (below) Soul Temple and Black Mask Studios have produced a six-issue comic book of the same name. It was written by Matthew Rosenberg and Patrick Kindlon and apparently inspired by classic spaghetti western film scores, a follow up of sorts to Ghostface’s 2009 venture into the comics universe Cell Block Z.
