UPDATE: Gina Rodriguez has since offered another apology on her Instagram.
The Jane the Virgin actress sparked backlash after her now-deleted Instagram story went viral.
Gina Rodriguez is in hot water once again. On Tuesday afternoon the Carmen Sandiego actress posted a video on Instagram rapping Lauryn Hill's verse on "Ready or Not." The video shows Rodriguez looking directly into the camera, rapping the lyrics "fronting n*ggas give me heebie-jeebies." Social media users immediately reacted.

Rodriguez has been criticized for anti-Black behavior on multiple occasions. After Marvel's Black Panther was announced in 2017 she tweeted "Marvel and DC are killing it in inclusion and women but where are the Latinos?!" In a 2018 press interview for the movie Small Foot, she interrupted co-star Yara Shahidi after Shahidi was asked about being a role model for black women. In November, she incorrectly claimed Black actresses were paid more than Latinx actresses.
Shortly after the video went viral, Rodriguez posted an apology on her Instagram story.
