GZA Set To Cap Off MIT's 'Hip-Hop Speakers' Series w/ Lecture On The Intersection Of Art & Physics
MIT ain't nothing to fuck with. No, seriously. The prestigious Cambridge University has struck gold with its hip-hop speakers series, welcoming Killer Mike to its campus for a discussion on race relations in the US at the end of this week. But we won't even have to wait that long to find out who will be rounding out the series as its' final lecturer. Today, MIT announced that they'll be bringing in Wu-Tang's GZA as their final speaker of the semester, delving into where science -- specifically physics -- and art meet. And who better than the Genius to break it all down for us?
According to The Boston Globe, GZA's return to the campus is partly inspired by the ever-storied upcoming album Dark Matter, which is set to explore the concepts of space and time in a manner that only the Shaolin assassin can. The lecture is set for May, but remains without a firm date until further notice, so be sure to check back for details as they arrive. Join us in hoping that the internets get a chance to partake in all of the nerdery, so that GZA's wisdom may be imparted upon us all. If you're itching for some new funk from the Genius, jump back to his recent Tonight Show appearance with the mighty Rootscrew.
