Watch A Street Preacher Tell Hannibal Buress "You're Going To Hell"
Of all the numerous highlights from Hannibal Buress's new Comedy Central show Why?, the comedian's repeated trips to the streets of Californian cities to chat with passers-by have produced some unforgettable moments. On his most recent episode, Buress got into a somewhat "heated" discussion with a sign-toting sidewalk preacher and found himself repeatedly professing his faith in Yeezus, as opposed to the Christian figure with a similar name. In short order, Buress is given the bad news: it seems he's going to hell, no question about it.
"When you die, you're going to meet the same God we're talking about. That's reality," the preacher tells Buress, to which he replies "Oh, so it's a reality show--like the Kardashians?" The more and more rhetoric the preacher attempts to hit Hannibal with, the more relaxed and hilarious the man gets, making it impossible for the not-so-dope pope to prosthelytize.
"You can't play the race card when you die and meet God, you do understand that?" the preacher tells Buress, who continues to affably brush him off even has his bald-headed dogma grows increasingly racist and foul. Thankfully, Buress keeps it light throughout. Watch the clip below and please, #PrayForHannibal.
