Isaiah Rashad hands in his homework for XXL's Freshmen issue, delivering 60 seconds of flame that cement him to the top-tier of young wordplayers. Though not a definitive litmus test for longterm success, the Freshmen issue has served as a decent window into at least who's blowing up right now and has featured a slew of burgeoning youngins including, but not limited to Action Bronson, Lupe Fiasco, Joey Bada$$, virtually every member of TDE (surprisingly starting with Jay Rock back in 2008,) Mac Miller and so many more.
