Jay Electronica Stars In New Toyota Ad Spot, 'Music In Motion' (dir. Jason Goldwatch)
Gotta give it to Jay Electronica. Without so much as an album or even a damn single, the man has managed to lock in endorsement deals like the most visible acts in the game. In collaboration with longtime creative kin and visionary Jason Goldwatch (who was also at the helm for the "Exhibit A" visual,) the Nawlins rhymer has found himself as the centerpiece of a new Toyota ad spot, dubbed Music In Motion.
To the tune of some bass heavy frequencies, Jay dons the godly white cape and grabs a mic as an artist dumps pools of assorted paints onto buzzing tweeters, splashing colors onto a massive canvas, after which the artist carves away slivers to reveal a kaleidoscopic silhouette of the rapper's bust. It's a vibrant (and quite rare) appearance from the MC, which certainly begs the question:
Could this mean a new project from the enigmatic one is finally, in fact, in motion?
Probably not. But we can always dream, can't we? Watch as Jay Electronica stars in a new spot for Toyota below and hold tight for any and all things Jay Elec in the months ahead.
