According to TMZ, Maraj will appear in court again on December 14th for sentencing. He faces no less than 25 years in prison with a maximum sentence of life. The charges stem from an incident in which Maraj assaulted the 11-year-old child of his now ex-wife, threatening her younger brother (8-years-old at the time) with violence should he speak up. Both the victim and her brother took the stand in the court proceedings.
At one point, it was claimed that Nicki would take the stand in defense of her brother. She failed to make an appearance in court, but did bail her brother our on a $100,000 bond, to the much critique from her fanbase. Neither Jelani nor his sister has shared a statement.
The story is still developing.
