The Philly singer took to Twitter and Instagram to share the news.
The dates are listed on her website, with her first show taking place Friday, February 7, at Midland Theatre. Tickets for these shows (which Scott says is for the first leg of the tour) will be available December 6.
Who Is Jill Scott is the singer's debut album. Released back on July 18, 2000, the album featured four singles: "Love Rain," "Gettin' in the Way," "A Long Walk," and "The Way." It was nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2001 Grammy Awards.
Scott had previously spoken on the album with Okayplayer when it turned 15.
"I really remember how much fun we had making the record. It was crazy late nights. We all had jobs at the time and were trying to keep our heads afloat while still making the record. It was magic," she said. "We would go from one room to the next room and everybody had something different and everybody was excited about sharing what they had with me and it was just fun. I didn’t think twice about anything that I was doing. It was just so much fun."
