Jimmy Kimmel's Kid (re)Kreation Of Kanye West's BBC 1 Interview [Video]
The irreverent name-dropping extravaganza that was Kanye West's interview with Zane Lowe is totally deserving (nay, demanding) of a hilarious rehashing and Jimmy Kimmel Live delivers, giving us the purified essence of the wonderfully captivating moments that made the interview one to remember--as told by a bunch of bad-ass little kids. These milkshake sippin' surrogates show us exactly why rappers need to be checked every once in a while, especially when you're dealing with the never-prudent Yeezy.
Full of animated tidbits, the sit-down gave us an often too serious testimony on what it's like to be Ye (not garnering much empathy along the way.) Reducing Yeezy's indelible interview to a cartoonish tirade, it's rather surprising they omitted such gems as:
"Remember my South Park photo? Remember how funny that was? Do you think there'd be a Givenchy in the hood, if it wasn't for that South Park photo?"
Or even:
"Nobody remember the names I got called for wearing tight jeans?"
Then when asked on how he synthesized various facets of culture on the album:
"Its just the way I was consuming information in my life at the time. Information from, you know, whatever negative information or positive information from the internet. You know, just going to the Louvre, and you know, going to furniture exhibits and understanding that."
If you've listened to the interview in its entirety (which is watchable here,) you already know there's still so much to keep us talking, in true Yeezy form. So go give it a listen, and check out the hilarity ensuing rework the Kimmel team put forth below.
