Remember that tight project Stones Throw producer/emcee Jonwayne put out last year, Casette? That had gritty beats and bars from JW on an actual cassette tape designed to look like a pack of Marlbros, well Phillip Morris was hating and hit them with a C & D letter. No matter, they switch up the artwork and come through with Cassette 2 today - 36 more minutes of Jonwayne, Jermiah Jae, Zeroh, and Quelle (artwork by Jeff Jank & Mike Pargas). Just like the original release, there will be no mp3, CD, or vinyl release... just cassettes. Listen to one of the album cuts, "Passing Fancies," below, while I try to find my old Sony Walkman with the logo scratched off.
