Jose James Drops The Official Video For "EveryLittleThing" & A Full Stream Of His Forthcoming "While You Were Sleeping" LP Ahead Of The June 10th Release On Blue Note Records.
José James returns with a healthy dose of goodies including a full stream of the forthcoming While You Were Sleeping LP, summer tour dates and the official video for "EveryLittleThing" co-directed by Hossein Ghertassi and Talia Billig. The video comes ahead of the release of the album, which drops on June 10th in the U.S. via Blue Note Records. The full stream of the highly-anticipated project is presented by NPR's First Listen. James drops this collection of treats with a note about the musical movements that inspired the project:
"This album is a synthesis of everything I love about music,” says José, “from contemporary artists like Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Junip to groundbreaking artists I grew up with like Nirvana, Radiohead, and Madlib. It's also a love letter to many late nights spent in East London clubs like Plastic People and Cargo, watching new movements unfold in electronic music. I want people to feel the joy of discovery that I experience night after night onstage, reaching for something new."
