Watch Kendrick Lamar's Full Mobile Performance From The Streets Of Hollywood
Just days after Kendrick Lamar dropped his critically immune To Pimp A Butterfly LP, the internet was set ablaze with pictures from a rather unconventional show that he played star to in the streets of Compton. I say unconventional mostly due to the fact that the entirety of the concert was conducted on the back bed of a tractor trailer, with a literal legion of fans running after him in what may have been the world's first ever truly mobile performance. Today, Reebok (who apparently used the show as a means of testing out a new sneaker on 100 some odd tastemakers) has released the full clip of the performance in all of its sweat-stained glory. While the performance seems to focus on pre-TPAB material, the whole show is backed by a guitarist and bassist, recreating some of your favorite good kid mAAd city tracks live and direct with some proper musicianship in tow (literally.) You can watch Kendrick Lamar run through the hits on his mobile stage down below. Grab a copy of To Pimp A Butterfly on iTunes today and peep the Compton-bred visual for "King Kunta" if you've yet to do so.
