Kevin Hart appeared on CONAN yesterday, and after hearing of Ice Cube's remarks about him being "not funny" and "annoying" on an earlier episode , it was only right that Kevin address his friend from that same stage.
This whole debate on whether Kevin Hart amuses Ice Cube developed only a few days prior to Kevin's visit, when Cube appeared on CONAN. Conan explained to Ice Cube that he had a conversation with Kevin Hart about Cube being the only person that won't "break".
"He gets so frustrated," Conan says of Kevin. "He tries and tries and tries. He shoots these movies with you, he tries everything, everything he can think of." He continues, "The whole crew will be laughing. You, with that face, just staring...you don't break." Conan finally asks, "Are you doing it to be mean to Kevin?"
Cube simply replies, "Kevin annoys me," followed shortly after by, "He's not funny".
Kevin seemed more amused than offended by Ice Cube's statements, however, explaining that he was not a bit surprised because that is Cube's normal demeanor. "Everybody on the set will be dying...and I will look at Cube, and he will just be staring," Hart explains. "I'm like 'Hey, man. Uh, you need to laugh. Everybody else is having a good time'. He's like, 'nah man let's just get the work done.' He's so professional."
It definitely doesn't seem like Kevin and Ice Cube's relationship was harmed by Cube's bold statements; they may annoy each other, but at the end they make incredible work together--of which, we will hopefully see more soon.
