Khari
I'm always happy to hear some new music from OKP fam and The Roots affiliate, Khari Mateen. We've gotten plenty of his production as of late, and now the man steps to the front once again with some new sounds of his own. Khari has a new project, Qualia, set to drop later this month, and we get our first sample with this infectious new single, "Where Did They Go." As much as this song is sure to make you want to get up out of your seat and dance, there actually is a very serious message behind it. Says Khari: "As we live our lives and watch our friends and family members go off to war, we have seen many men and women lose their lives and many more affected by the experiences in war. This song gives a look into the rising cases of PTSD in veterans. I wanted to take a moment and bring awareness and also show concern toward people that are suffering from this condition."
