Kid Cudi Responds To Kanye West's Comments On Apple, Tidal 'Beef'
Kid Cudi has been a bit of a non-presence over the past year or so, having virtually vanished after the surprise release of his Satellite Flight LP in late 2013. And while the past few months have graced us with the announcement that he’ll be taking on Reggie Watts’ slot as cohost of the always hilarious and offbeat Comedy Bang Bang, they’ve left us wanting in terms of musical output. But never fear, dear Okayplayers, the man on the moon hasn’t left his meal ticket behind.
Today he hit us with a pitch straight out of left field, delivering the tender, pop-hop of his new single “Love”, presumably off the forthcoming Man On The Moon 3 LP. It boasts plenty of the earmarks we’ve come to cherish from the sad-rap specialist; hazy sing-song rapping, melancholic and moody sentiments, an iron-clad hook (that’ll probably be rumbling around your brain for weeks to come) and some steel-toed six-string licks for your inner-headbanger to lap up. There’s no word on how or when the third installment of Man On The Moon will land, but if "Love" is any indication of what to expect, we'll be praising its arrival.
