Kid Cudi dials back the punk and acoustic to dip back into his bag of trap-tinged outer space raps on the new single "The Frequency." The track co-produced by Mike Dean and Plain Pat is the latest from Cudi, following his 2015 Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven LP. Cudi returns to the no qualms, psych-rap aesthetic that absolutely made Man On The Moon. Tapping in right where he left off, his verses - reportedly recorded during a session with Kanye West - are bookended by the trippy refrains "done up till sun up" and "couple girls, couple shrooms."
