Kid Cudi's New "Surfin'" Video is Neon-Lit and Full of Stars

While the world attempts to wrap its collective brain around this whole Kid Cudi v. Drake beef, Cudi's just proven he's taking the stone-throwing in stride. Today he releases a star-studded and neon-lit visual for the Pharrell-produced "Surfin'." Self-directed and in the same psychedelic motif as the video for "Frequency," the clip gathers some of Cudi's more prominent disciples for a mid-forest dance partyYou'll find the likes of A$AP Rocky, Dot Da Genius, TM88, Jaden and Willow Smith all bucking the wave and letting loose in a very Fraggle Rock type aesthetic that should fit right into your Fright Night rotations this evening.

As for this Scott and Aubrey feud, Cudi recently swung back via Twitter with some threatening verbiage that seems to imply there will be some sort of retribution. More likely, this will fizzle and reveal itself to be a little publicity bump for Cudi's new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin', which was supposed to arrive late last month, but was delayed due to alleged issues with sample clearance. Earlier this month, Cudi checked himself into a rehab facility for suicidal thoughts and depression, which was the very subject of Drake's not-so-subtle shot in "Two Birds One Stone," sparking a ton of backlash due to the mental health discussions revolving around Cudi's rehab visit. Suppose we'll see how it all plays out, but for now, you can watch the latest video from Kid Cudi down below. If the track is to your liking, scoop it up on iTunes today.
