Nas and Jungle's Artist Kiing Shooter Dies at 24

The Queens MC released the single "Losses" back in March.

On Tuesday, Queens rapper Kiing Shooter died after revealing he'd tested positive for COVID-19. Born William Daniels, the 24-year-old was signed to Nas' Mass Appeal Records and Bravehearts affiliate Jungle's Street Dreams Records.

Nas memorialized his signee in a short poem on Instagram.

"You made your mark and got your wings," he wrote. "On many hearts you pulled their strings. From QB to Heaven, the world in between. "What a pleasure to have you, in our lives, in this world, in our world. We shared our street dreams. Condolences to Kiing Shooter's family and friends."

Daniels revealed his COVID-19 diagnosis over a week ago on Instagram. "This can't be life," he wrote. "I said Henny was stronger than the Rona I ain't know it was that strong...no more drinking for me."

On Tuesday, NYPD officers arrested three people at a memorial for Kiing Shooter in Queensbridge Park for violating social distancing orders. According to passersby, officers quickly broke up the gatherings and sealed off the entrances to the park

Kiing Shooter made his debut on multiple projects with longtime friend Dave East. He appeared on East's single "Traumatized" which peaked at number 42 on the United States Billboard 200 in August 2018. Shooter released his debut EP Fucc the Doubters shortly afterward. The project featured appearances from Dave East, Don Q, and others.

Shooter's first EP caught the eye of Bravehearts rapper Jungle, who signed him to his new Street Dreams Records in February 2019. From then, he released his second EP No Turning Bacc the following April.

In March 2020, he dropped the single "Losses" featuring Uncle Murda. The song was the lead single from his latest project Still Outside. Shooter released the 11-track project through Street Dreams and Nas' Mass Appeal Records.
