The strange case of Rachel Dolezal isn't just baffling, it's not okay, player. Killer Mike (aka candidate Michael Render) took his turn at bat with the issue of Dolezal and her deceitful self-identification as a black woman (despite being the child of two white parents) on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. His response was as scathing and intelligent and as humorous as we all might have expected, noting that while, yes, what Dolezal did was wrong, there are plenty of opportunities to find a little levity in the situation. Then again, when talk between Render, Wilmore, Natasha Leggero and Robin Thede turned to the inevitable appearance of Dolezal halloween costumes, Mike had only one response and it was silent, mean and perfect.

Dolezal's presence hung over the rest of the episode, clearly inspiring the kick off question of its "Keep it 100" segment. Wilmore's first question for Render was "Would you ever want to be white," to which Mike immediately replied "Yes," straight-faced and certain. Willmore immediately bestowed upon Mike a "100" badge, but immediately Mike followed up with "But only for two days a month. Whenever they're doing alcohol stops and drug testing." The Nightly Show host then flipped the script a bit, asking his quite caucasian guest Natasha Leggero if she'd ever like to be black. Her answer "No" earned her a 100...briefly. Watch both full clips below, and find out why Killer Mike's phone has a screensaver photo of a KKK member.
