Lalah Hathaway, Snoop Dogg, Robert Glasper & Terrace Martin Join Forces On Powerful "Ghetto Boy" Update

At the tail-end of 2015, the incomparable Lalah Hathaway released her Live album to critical and public praise. The performance begins with a stunning take of her father's (the Donny Hathaway) 1971 single "Little Ghetto Boy," which, oddly enough, was featured on his own live album.

Today, the young Hathaway has delivered a powerful reinterpretation of that song with an all-star cast in tow. For the latest cut of this classic, Hathaway recruits Robert Glasper to lay down a mid-song trill or two, Snoop Dogg for one of his best verses since their last meeting on To Pimp A Butterfly and, speaking of the 2015 smash, Terrace Martin, who blesses the track with some edge-smoothing key work and production. The track was released with a clip of Hathaway and the track's many talents (plus the mighty Kamasi Washington!)
