Texas-born crooner Leon Bridges commenced his two night stay in NYC with a little retro soul spinning on The Tonight Show last night, performing the title-track off his debut Coming Home LP for the late-night audience. It was one of those "what year is it?" type of sets, with Bridges garbed in vintage fits and his bucket-hat donning ensemble providing the Stax band feel for a cool revue-styled performance. Bridges' NYC residency continues this evening with a stop at Bowery Ballroom and tomorrow night's affair at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
