NYC electro-soul duo LION BABE has been turning up on everyone's radar as of late for a remarkable blend of big, bolstering r&b chops and radio-friendly pop stuff. Today, they've given us a taste of how those sentiments might apply to, say, a funk & soul classic, like Curtis Mayfield's timeless anthem of upheaval "Move On Up," where the soul legend's guitar lead and horn arrangements are supplanted for singer Jillian Harvey's twangy delivery over a beat that's all synths and electronics.
