Prince + A Tribe Called Quest Close Out SXSW

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

A Tribe Called Quest reunited over the weekend to To close out SXSW with a greatest hits set for 300 lucky concert-goers. ATCQ seemed to put their problems aside for the evening as they ran through everything from "Sucka N**ga" to "Bonita Applebum." Although they may never record new music, one can see in the live video of "Can I Kick it?" that the foursome can still have fun on stage. If that's not enough, the one and only Prince ended the night with a rousing 3 hour set featuring a funky 22-piece band. The Purple-ous One took the stage around midnight with his horn section walking through the audience like a New Orleans second line. They proceeded to tear the house down with a show heavy on material from the 80's as well as covers. He didn't pick up a guitar all evening, but that didn't disappoint anyone as the crowd was treated to the rare "Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)" and not one, not two, but SIX encores. Watch video from both artists below and scroll down for their setlists.
