?uestlove x Rahzel Kick Off RBMA W/ Soho Pop-Up Concert [Photo + Videos]

Yesterday, ?uestlove and Rahzel kicked off the Red Bull Music Academy with a surprise set in a SoHo parking lot. Performing in front of a mural of themselves, the duo improvised beats and rhymes for about 20 minutes in an empty lot at corner of Prince and Lafayette in the heart of downtown Manhattan. The impromptu concert was perfectly in the spirit of RBMA, which is designed to promote improvisation and collaboration. This year they'll be doing that by putting on 34 nights worth of concerts and workshops throughout New York. If that weren't enough, when he stepped offstage (ok, off-lot) ?uesto popped up on camera to break his silence on whether The Roots will officially stay with Jimmy Fallon when he takes over The Tonight Show in 2014.
