Lorde - "Swingin' Party"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Lorde drops "Swingin' Party" - a brooding ethereal track that showcases the emotional depth of her vocal talent, which flat-out belies her youth. With this single she preps fans for the release of The Tennis Courts - her second EP dropping July 22nd on Virgin. "Swingin' Party" follows her single "Tennis Courts" and provides a fresh take on an old song by The Replacements. The track is constructed of clever lyrics and steeped in haunting sounds that play directly against anything the title could possibly convey. While irony may have been the point entirely, the talent of this New Zealand singer remains emphatic as she drops her lines with expert timing and transfixes fans with a frighteningly mellow delivery. Check Lorde's "Swingin' Party" below. Stay tuned for more from The Tennis Courts EP.
