Lupe Fiasco Shares A Painful Narrative On The Ills Of Drug Addiction In The Thought-Provoking Visual For "Madonna"
Lupe Fiasco has been dousing the world with late night appearances and fiery freestyles since the release of his Tetsuo & Youth LP back in January. The album has treated us to a slew of captivating images for precursory singles "Mazinger" and "Deliver," but today we've been gifted yet another visual for his biblically themed cut. "Madonna"(produced by mister "Money Trees" himself DJ Dahi) flips the tale of the old book, putting the son in the role of caregiver, as his mother battles a ruthless drug addiction. It's as powerful of a clip as we've seen from the Chicago rapper, who's been on quite a roll as of late, letting go of the full treatment of his appropriately titled "Stellar Light," which was used by the US men's soccer team during the last World Cup. If you haven't seen Lupe and Jean dazzle on The Tonight Show with the mighty Roots crew in tow, I suggest you jump back to put an eye on it. Watch the gripping new video for Lupe Fiasco & Nikki Jean's "Madonna" below and grab your copy of Tetsuo & Youth today via iTunes.
