Mac Miller Drug Dealer Sentenced to Over 10 Years In Prison

On Monday, Ryan Reavis was sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison for supplying Mac Miller with drugs that led to his death in 2018.

Ryan Reavis, one of the men who supplied Mac Miller with fentanyl-laced pills which led to his September 2018 death by overdose has been sentenced. After pleading guilty to one felony count of distributing fentanyl last November, on Monday, Reavis was sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison.

According to Rolling Stone, Reavis requested a five-year sentence, claiming that he was merely a middleman in the transaction and that he didn't know the pills were laced. Prosecutors instead wanted Reavis to face a 12-and-a-half year sentence.

Prior to the sentencing on Monday, Miller's mother, Karen Meyers gave a statement to the court.

“My life went dark the moment Malcolm left his world. Malcolm was my person, more than a son. We had a bond and kinship that was deep and special and irreplaceable. We spoke nearly every day about everything – his life, plans, music, dreams."

Meyers added that her son “would never knowingly take a pill with fentanyl, ever. He wanted to live and was excited about the future.”

“The hole in my heart will always be there,” she continued.

Reavis is one of three men who were charged following the untimely death of Miller, who died at 26 in his Los Angeles home after overdosing from alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl. As Reavis was arrested in September 2019 after his Lake Havasu City home was raided by cops, investigators – including Drug Enforcement Administration – "found a doctor’s prescription pad, unspecified pills available only via prescription, drug paraphernalia and a “usable” amount of marijuana," according to Page Six.

Along with Reavis, Stephen Walter has been charged with one felony count of distributing fentanyl, pleading guilty but has not yet been sentenced. A third man, Cameron Pettit, has also been charged, but his case is ongoing.
