Mass Appeal's Rhythm Roulette appears to be back in effect, hosting NOLA bounce architect Mannie Fresh with their latest installment of the series. Fresh, who has been largely mum since we caught up with him on his own stomping grounds years ago, puts on a clinic for onlookers and bystanders, grabbing three records at random and then chopping each with his patented touch, tailoring a trio of sonic specimens in mere moments, each possessing their own respective flavor and feel.
Which is all good and great, but damn. Can we just get a new record already? Specifically, the Mannie Fresh/Mos Def piece that we were promised way back when? I suppose we'll never know when or even if that mythical project will ever come to fruition, given the Mighty Mos's on again, off again musical regiment. But a man can dream, can't he? Watch as Mannie Fresh freaks the MPC and cooks up three potent beats out of three random records on Mass Appeal's Rhythm Roulette below. And if you're really itching for that Mos Fresh collaboration, you can, at the very least, jump back and hear the loosie "Let's Go"
