Run The Jewels has been the most animated rhyme-slaying duo in hip-hop for years now, but there's a damn good reason for it. Long before they solicited the nation's disparaged felines for their assistance in remixing the seismic Run The Jewels 2 LP, and even before their now iconic murder hands logo took over walls across the country in the Tag The Jewels campaign, Killer Mike and El-P were decidedly devout comic book fans that would put to shame almost anyone who stepped up to the plate to test them.
And so, in an ode to the tandem's spectacular ascent, the good folks at Marvel Comics will be dedicating two covers to Mike and El, making perhaps the boldest submission to the Tag The Jewels initiative yet. The twisted hands logo will grace covers for upcoming issues of Deadpool and Howard The Duck, landing on store shelves at some point this year. You can peep one of the covers up top and the other down below, just be sure to check back as we'll certainly update with the release info when it arrives. In the meantime, you should probably cop RTJ2 on iTunes, if you've somehow skipped one of the best records 2014 had to offer.
