MC Serch Drops Hip-Hop History On Juan Epstein

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

MC Serch sits down with Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds to drop a few dozen gems on the history of the rap game. Serch touches on his historic work with Nas during the production of Illmatic and delivers anecdotes on the early days of a few celebrated MC's, including Slick Rick and DOOM. Serch also talks 3rd Bass and his first impressions of Russell Simmons. This chat - like most of Serch's trips back through the memory banks - proves him an invaluable resource and should probably classify him as a national treasure with respect to the culture. Check the track below to listen to the MC Serch on The Juan Epstein Show. Stay tuned for more from Rosenberg and Ciph.
