MC Shan Blasts KRS-One's Response To Afrika Bambaataa Allegations

Rap Legend MC Shan Blasts KRS-One's Indifferent Response To Allegations Of Child Abuse Against Afrika Bambaataa.

Rap legend and QB representative MC Shan has stepped up to blast KRS-One's response to allegations of sexual assault against founder and former head of The Universal Zulu Nation, Afrika Bambaataa. The criticism comes as Shan and KRS continue their decades-long debate over the true winner of the infamous Bridge Wars. KRS first addressed the staggering accusations against Bambaataa just one month ago.

“For me if you keep it hip-hop, nothing can be taken away from Afrika Bambaataa,” KRS said in an interview. “Nothing. Just keep hip-hop. But if you want to dig into dude’s personal life and accusations that’s being made and so on. Personally — I don’t give a f*ck. Personally. Look, if somebody was harmed or whatever, y’all gotta deal with that sh*t. Deal with it. That don’t stop hip-hop. That don’t stop what you did for hip-hop. It don’t take away none of it. History is history. But deal with that. That’s personal.”

Shan fired back against the decidedly indifferent response during a recent interview with the Murder Master Music Show, referring to KRS' statement as "insensitive" and asserting that Bambataa's legacy is, indeed, "tarnished."

“Even that response was kind of insensitive. It is what it is and you said it and now you answering for it and now you got people looking at you suspect because you too much on Bam’s side. Was you one of them? Remember he was homeless back in the days! Did he give you a place for a little touchy feel back in the days? Come on if it’s real it’s real tell on the motherfucker like everybody else did.”

Continuing, Shan noted his own personal history as a victim of childhood abuse.

“I don’t pay attention to what he says! Bambaataa’s legacy is tarnished. If he used [to do] that like pedophiles do, and this is not allegedly because he admitted that he touched that man, and he manipulated these children. I ain’t ashamed to say it, I had a motherf*cker touch me when I was young, so I hate motherf*ckers like Bambaataa. A motherf*cker just touched me there wasn’t no penetration. I could put his name out there but the motherf*cker is dead now.”
